I love to paint the light and color I find in my Southern California surroundings...sometimes inspiration is sought when I head outside with an easel, and more often it simply appears right in front of me in the familiarity of my home. I study the seasons as I paint, the weather, the mood of a time of day, and I always come away having learned something novel. It is exciting to share this slice of the West by bringing it East.
